Generative AI systems are rapidly becoming recommendation engines. When a user asks for the best cybersecurity provider, a reliable PR agency, or a trusted museum to visit, large language models do not simply retrieve a ranked list of links. They synthesise information, infer trust, and produce a single consolidated answer. Understanding how these systems decide which brands to recommend is now commercially critical. AI recommendation behaviour is not random. It is shaped by entity recognition, source trust weighting, consistency signals, structured data, and cross-model reinforcement. Brands that understand these layers can influence how they are represented. Brands that ignore them risk invisibility or inaccurate summaries.
